Like waves arriving one after another
Heartworks combines long, continuous movement with rhythmic pressure and enveloping contact. The palms create a wave-like motion that travels along long, unbroken pathways across joints and regions, so touch does not remain in one isolated area but cares for the body through continuity.
Kai’s present interpretation looks for balance among enveloping contact, a slower pace, and meaningful depth. Pressure is not concentrated on one point; even as the pace slows, the continuity between hands and body is not interrupted.
A natural introduction to Lomi
For many people, Heartworks is the clearest starting point. Kai usually recommends it for a first visit so there is time to become familiar with Lomi’s rhythm, draping, and communication.
Process, draping, and choice
The visit begins with a conversation about your condition, wounds, allergies, and needs. No shower is needed before the session. Lomi includes work on the back, front of the legs, arms, and hands.
Within Hawaiian Lomi, the chest and abdomen lie close to the heart center and the body’s core. They are regarded as an important place where physical and inner experience, and the body’s overall energy, gather and integrate.
The session is received nude with salon cloth securely covering and wrapping the body. Intimate areas remain covered. Kai asks again before the chest and abdominal portion; you may decline, adjust, skip, or stop.
